The sales figures of automobile companies have been better in June. The country’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki India has achieved a growth of 217% on a monthly basis. It sold 1,47,368 vehicles last month. In May, the company had sold only 46,555 units. Giving the gift of this great growth to its customers, Maruti has extended the warranty period till July 31.

The company said that the benefit of free service and warranty extension will be available to those customers whose period was between March 15, 2021 to June 30, 2021. That is, now the warranty period for these customers has been extended for a month.

Warranty extended due to reduction in travel
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Director (Services), Maruti Suzuki India said, “We are extending the warranty period to give convenience to our customers. In times of pandemic, customers are unable to travel by vehicles. In such a situation, now you will be able to take advantage of our services at your convenience. The company’s workshops are following all safety SOPs mandated by the government.

Warranty was extended even before 2 months
Maruti Suzuki India had earlier also extended the warranty of vehicles expiring between March 15 and May 31 till June 30. When Partho Banerjee said that customers in many states are facing lockdown due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. In such a situation, the company has decided to extend the free-servicing and warranty period till June 30 for its customers.

Great demand for maruti vehicles

  • In June, the demand for Maruti cars remained on the seventh sky. The company sold 1,47,368 units on a monthly basis with a growth of 217%. In May, the company had sold only 46,555 units. Maruti’s compact vehicle and utility vehicle segment saw growth.
  • The company sold 17,237 units in June as against 11,262 units in May. Similarly, it sold 97,359 units with a four-fold growth in the mini and compact vehicle segment. In the utility vehicle segment, it sold 25,484 units as against 6,355 units in May.
  • The company sold 17,439 units of Alto and S-Presso in June 2021. In June last year, it had sold 10,458 units of both these cars. Similarly, WagonR, Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, DZire and Tour S sold 68,849 units last month. In June last year, it had sold 26,696 units of all these.
